As a professional clinician who has journeyed alongside hurting individuals and couples for over 35 years, I continue to appreciate each step taken toward healing and growth. I am honored to be invited into your most vulnerable moments, creating a safe space for you to explore the traumas and triumphs of life. My heart is to help you increase self-awareness, discover your inner strengths, and identify personal values to guide you on your path. I work with clients from a family systems framework while drawing on many forms of therapy from my broad range of experience and training. I am trained in Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman techniques for couples therapy. I am also a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and a certified EAGALA facilitator. My approach considers the whole person, including relational, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I will tailor your treatment to your individual needs. I offer equine-assisted psychotherapy—learning about oneself through connection with horses—for individuals and couples at my property, Light Reins Ranch, in the Lawrence–Baldwin City area. With both indoor and outdoor arenas available, sessions can address a variety of counseling needs, including premarital counseling and marriage enrichment. I also partner with Freedom Unbridled to offer customized equine-assisted counseling groups here at the ranch. Co-led by two therapists, groups can be tailored for children, teens, adults, caregivers, professional teams, and couples.
